You’re eligible for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) if you meet the following criteria:
- You don't have dental care coverage, and your household income is less than $90,000 per year
- You are aged 65 or older
- You are under the age of 18
- You are an adult with a current federal Disability Tax Credit certificate
- You don’t have dental benefits through an employer, student organization or pension plan.
The CDCP works on a sliding coverage scale up to $90,000. In other words, they may not provide total coverage for those on the higher end of that income limit.
You can reach out to Service Canada if you have further questions about CDCP eligibility and coverage.
